We joined the Gender Equality Committee of the Foreign Affairs Ministry

In December 2019, ADC entered the Gender Equality Committee of the CCSC (Civil Society Advisory Committee for the Foreign Affairs Ministry) The CCSC is a body of consultation and promotion of civic and political participation, functioning under the Foreign Affairs Ministry. It holds meetings which, due to their nature, make it an advisory party of wide and diverse appeal, regarding issues of regional public policies. It is comprised of a number of committees organized on thematic points concerning the diverse affairs that impact society.

The committee members are voluntary representatives of grassroots movements, NGOs, social leaders, and academics.  At the same time, it is the Committee’s goal to promote civic engagement in different instances of international relevance. The Gender Equality Committee is in charge of bolstering women’s equality and rights in Argentina, with a national and regional scope.
