Launching of PUEDA campaign – For an Accessible Digital Environment
Within the framework of Global Accessibility Awareness Day (21 May), ADC launched its PUEDA campaign – For an Accessible Digital Environment, to raise consciousness on the importance of digital accessibility for everyone, especially older adults, and people with disabilities. Considering the spread of new technologies to every aspect of daily life and its recent intensification during the mandatory preventive lockdown prompted by COVID-19 pandemic, this initiative seeks to publicize the conclusions and recommendations accomplished by the study Persons with Disabilities and Access to Information and Communication services, carried out by ADC throughout 2018 and 2019, together with Disabilities Observatory from the UNQ (National University of Quilmes), performing a regional diagnosis on digital accessibility in Argentina, Chile, and Uruguay.
