Launching Quiero Mis Datos, a new web app to regain control over your personal data

Quiero Mis Datos is a new web application, aiming to promote the exercise of the Right of Access to personal data. Although the Data Protection Law dates back two decades, there is still general unawareness of all the rights it enshrines and how they could be exercised. Through Quiero Mis Datos we seek to empower internet users to understand how their personal information may be handled and with whom it is shared. One of the problems that Quiero Mis Datos attempts to expose is the intricacy internet users face in finding suitable means to exercise their data subject rights against companies. Many of them only allow this through personal letters, excluding more modern and agile communication channels.
