ADC participates in meeting held by EU Delegation in Argentina
On Friday, May 13, The Association for Civil Rights (ADC) attended a breakfast meeting hosted by the European Union delegation in Argentina, on the occasion of the visit to the country of Bruno Gencarelli, Deputy to the Director for Fundamental Rights and Rule of Law, and Head of International Data Flows and Protection of the EU Commission.
ADC was represented by its Head of Strategic Litigation, Alejandro Segarra, and project leader and researcher Eduardo Ferreyra.
According to the EU Delegation, the meeting takes place “at a time when the challenges faced by privacy and data security demand a joint approach more than ever… This is a unique opportunity to discuss the need to strengthen the regulation of data security and its institutions with other members of academia and civil society, in order to effectively guarantee fundamental rights such as privacy and the safeguard of personal information,” they concluded.
