ADC organizes debate on elections in the social media era, jointly with Derechos Digitales and Article 19
The Association for Civil Rights (ADC), together with Derechos Digitales and Article 19 organizations, held a conversatory titled “Elections in the Era of Social Media – PubliElectoral in Argentina, Chile and Mexico” on June 15, with the participation of Vladimir Garay (Derechos Digitales), Vladimir Cortés (Article 19) and ADC project officer, Sara Soubelet.
The discussion served as a framework for a comparative analysis of the results yielded by the PubliElectoral software tool in the election campaigns of Argentina, Chile, and Mexico.
The different presentations dealt with the expenditure reports and network registration according to the regulations of each country, the various ways of reporting ads on networks, disclaimers, and account verification on the platform.
PubliElectoral is a project started by ADC in 2019 aiming at the analysis of electoral campaigns on Facebook. It was supported by the software tool developed by Cooperativa Cambá.
