ADC speaks on data protection in Argentina
Together with other civil society organizations, the Association for Civil Rights (ADC) took part in a round table discussion over the bill drafted by the Personal Data Protection Agency (AAIP) on Monday, March 27.
ADC was represented by project officer Luis García Balcarce, who reviewed the consultation process the Agency carried out and the recommendations made by our organization, several of which are reflected in the second version of the draft law. Among the contributions, he highlighted “an article that implies that any interpretation of the law should always be in favor of the data subject.”
The event was organized by O.D.I.A. and took place in the Green Room of the University of Buenos Aires Law School. Among others attending were Beatriz Busaniche from Fundación Vía Libre, Paula Litvachky from CELS, Franco Giandana from Access Now, and Agustín Allende Larreta from Privacyvitas.
