ADC introduces Alejandro Segarra as Deputy Executive Director
The Association for Civil Rights (ADC) takes pride in presenting Alejandro Segarra in his new position. Mr. Segarra will share the organization’s leadership with Valeria Milanes, who will continue in her role as Executive Director.
In recent years, the organization has prioritized its impact in international forums while forwarding a more comprehensive and specialized domestic and regional agenda, leading to a need for complementing and expanding the activity of the management team. Consequently, Mr. Segarra, formerly head of Strategic Litigation until last June, has now assumed his new position.
The recently appointed Deputy Executive Director began at ADC in 2005 as an associate and became head of Strategic Litigation more than 15 years ago. In this role, he filed legal actions and amicus curiae briefs in different areas of law, such as freedom of expression, disability, data privacy, and others, with a considerable domestic and regional impact. In addition, he served as secretary of the organization’s Executive Board. Mr. Segarra has a broad background in criminal and constitutional law.
At ADC, we continue expanding our scope and deepening our approach with an unrelenting commitment to defending human rights.
