Associate Judge at the Supreme Court of Justice; Consulting Professor at the UBA Law School; Member of the UBA Law School’s Center for Studies on Transparency and Fight against Corruption Advisory Board; 2nd Vice-President of the Bar Association Institute of Legislative Studies of the Argentinian Federation. Former National Minister of Justice and Human Rights; National Representative at the Lower House of Congress; Judge of the National Court of Appeals in Criminal and Correctional Matters of Buenos Aires City; General Coordinator of the National Ministry of Justice’s Program Justice 2020; Vice-President of the UN Committee against Torture.
Marcos Salt
Specialist in Criminal Law and Criminal Procedural Law with experience in complex cases since 1987. Professor of these two subjects at the University of Buenos Aires (UBA). Currently in charge of undergraduate and graduate courses on cybercrimes and digital evidence in criminal investigations. He has taught courses on these subjects for members of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, the Judiciary and Security Forces. He has worked as a consultant for a number of international organizations in criminal justice reform projects (AID, United Nations, World Bank, OAS and Council of Europe). He is currently a member of the United Nations Legal Identity Expert Group and consultant on cybercrime to the Council of Europe for Latin American countries. He has been an advisor to various government agencies on cybercrime and digital evidence, criminal law and criminal procedure. Author of numerous books and articles in his specialty. Member of the editorial board of several criminal law publications.
