Digital Manifestations of Political Violence in Bolivia
Since 2009, when the Bolivian Constitution incorporated favorable mandates for gender equality, the presence of women in politics has increased. However, this progress has coincided with an increase in political harassment and violence in the neighboring country. Despite having a pioneering law against this since 2012, the growing use of social networks and online connectivity has intensified the problem. This report seeks to raise awareness and provide recommendations to prevent and denounce gender-based violence in online politics.
