Making Products Accessible In The Digital Environment – A Practical Guide
The PUEDA project, promoted by the Asociación por los Derechos Civiles (ADC), published its Practical Guide – Making Products Accessible In The Digital Environment. The material seeks to share learnings, conclusions, and #AccessibleTips to motivate the production of clear digital communications.
Digital accessibility allows to avoid barriers in websites, applications, or platforms by considering different language, design, or programming criteria. So, is it possible to develop accessible reports, images, or videos? The guide developed by PUEDA seeks to answer this question and provide #AccessibleTips for the development of accessible products and the identity of digital campaigns.
The guide’s contents provide tips for the design of names, slogans, logos, hashtags, and ways of constructing a message as well as for the development of audiovisual material, badges for social networks, or the incorporation of interpretation in sign languages in videos. In addition, they make available an extensive list of resources: links to the information gathered in the research process, audiovisual content with accessibility tools, web pages with accessibility tools, and a bibliography on the subject.
