ADC makes contributions to projected National Action Plan on Business and Human Rights

On June 30, the Association for Civil Rights (ADC) took part in a meeting organized by the Human Rights Office of the National Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Worship where the advances in the projected National Action Plan (NAP) on Business and Human Rights (PAN) were presented.

During the event, it was announced that the NAP will be prepared through broad, federal, and transparent participation.

As part of this process, ADC made observations and provided input for the adoption of a digital perspective in the projected Action Plan.

National Action Plans (NAPs) are public policy instruments implemented by governments to fulfill their obligation to protect human rights by addressing the adverse effects that business activities may have on them. One of their purposes is to give coherence to the policies that governments carry out in this area.

Argentina received the recommendation and committed to developing a National Business Plan in the last cycle of the United Nations Universal Periodic Review (UPR), where the country was re-elected as a member of the Human Rights Council.
