Contribution to the General Comment on children´s rights in relation to the digital environment

The Committee on the Rights of the Child (CRC) is in the process of drafting a General Comment on the rights of children and adolescents in relation to the digital realm. The CRC has prepared a draft and submitted it to public consultation so that interested parties can make any recommendations they deem relevant. The ADC considered the consultation as an excellent opportunity to expand our work in the defense of human rights on the internet to a group that is in a particular situation of vulnerability. We, therefore, submitted our input to the consultation in a document focusing mainly on the protection of the right to non-discrimination, freedom of expression, the right to privacy, data protection, freedom of association and assembly, and the right to education, among others.
