Political, Sexual, and Digital Violence in Chile
This research -carried out in the framework of the ADC 2023 Fellowship- seeks to identify the political and socio-cultural phenomena that facilitate digital gender violence in Chile, analyzing its systematicity, making observations to the Chilean state and civil society for the construction of digital spaces that do not perpetuate the violence that women face in their daily lives. It also seeks to determine how this type of events are directly linked to the recent history of the country, where the disciplining of the feminized body through sexual violence exercised in different ways (both physical and symbolic) has been a fundamental part of conservative movements to try to silence the political and social participation of women.
