ADC elected as member of OECD CSISAC Steering Group for third time
The Association for Civil Rights (ADC) was once again appointed to the Civil Society Information Society Advisory Council (CSISAC) Steering Group, represented by its Executive Director, Valeria Milanes.
CSISAC is the forum speaking on behalf of civil society in the Digital Economy Policy Committee of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). Our participation in this space allows us to provide a regional perspective and information on issues globally addressed by the OECD. It also presents the opportunity to be part of major discussions and collaborate to agenda-setting in an array of subjects.
Among the issues tackled by ADC within CSISAC are data privacy and portability, the revision of the 2013 OECD Privacy Guidelines, digital product security, the Recommendation on Children in the Digital Environment, the Guidelines for Digital Service Providers, digital security of critical activities, and government access to personal data stored by private companies.
In addition to ADC, the CSISAC Steering Group for the period 2022-2023 is formed by: Carolina Botero (Karisma Foundation), Pam Dixon (World Privacy Forum), Calli Schroeder (EPIC – Electronic Privacy Information Center), Hanno Wagner (EDRi – European Digital Rights) and Antonio Schuh and Youn Jung Park as individual members.
